Tucked away next to a tobacco shop and a barber, Cherry Vintage Audio is a haven for audiophiles looking for receivers, amps, tuners, speakers, turntables, and tape decks from the 1960s through the 1990s. Frates, with over 50 years of audio experience, carefully curates each setup to showcase the quality and uniqueness of the equipment.
The Golden Age of HiFi
Frates believes that the equipment from the ’70s and early ’80s represents the golden age of HiFi, characterized by superior craftsmanship, exceptional sound quality, and eye-catching design. Having retired from multiple careers, Frates’s passion for audio technology continues to drive him in his business ventures.
