PIEDMONT, SC – Viatec, a Piedmont-based company that offers “plug-and-play” electronic power take-off systems, has received a $300,000 investment from SC Launch, the investment affiliate of South Carolina Research Authority (SCRA). The investment will support Viatec’s innovative electrification solutions, which aim to lower fuel and maintenance costs, reduce emissions, and create cleaner and quieter worksites.
Viatec’s product line includes SmartPTO, SmartPX, and SmartAPU, which are designed to eliminate constant diesel idling in large vehicles such as EMS trucks and maintain power and temperature in tractor-trailer driver cabins. These solutions address the urgent need for sustainable and environmentally friendly alternatives in the auxiliary power industry.
