Upstate music shops celebrating Record Day

GREENVILLE, S.C. – Music shops in the Upstate are celebrating Record Day on Saturday. Record Day is when music stores open early and offer limited edition vinyl.

Stores participating in Record Day:

  • Greenville
    • Cabin Floor Records – Located at 1156 Rutherford Rd., this store specializes in rare and vintage vinyl. It has teased having Sonny Rollins’ “Freedom Weaver: The 1959 European Tour Recordings” in stock.
    • Horizon Records – Located at 2-A W. Stone Ave., this store will open at 8 a.m. Lines have formed outside the door hours before opening time in previous years.
  • Spartanburg
    • BJ Music – Located at 374 Whitney Rd., this store is reputed to be well stocked with vinyl.

One other recommended music store in Greenville, Pharmacy Records, is not participating in Record Day, but is worth a visit for some used LPs. The store is located at 21 Shoppers Dr.
