Greenville Welcomes ‘Curious George: Let’s Get Curious!’ Exhibit
The Upcountry History Museum in Greenville will be unveiling a new and exciting exhibit for families and children to enjoy. The exhibit, titled “Curious George: Let’s Get Curious!”, is set to open on May 25. This interactive exhibit is designed in partnership with Universal Studios Consumer Products Group and is based on the beloved character created by authors H.A. and Margret Rey.
Interactive and Educational Activities
The bilingual exhibit, presented in both English and Spanish, is set in the neighborhood where Curious George and the Man in the Yellow Hat live. Spanning across 2,500 square feet, the exhibit offers a range of activities that promote learning in science, technology, engineering, arts, and math. Children and families can look forward to engaging in the following activities:
- Designing a building and constructing different structures using a conveyer belt to move materials
- Helping George climb an apartment building to wash windows by operating wheels
- Experimenting with physics by using pipes, ramps, funnels, bumpers, and turntables to play mini golf
- Visiting a farm to learn about wind power and making a pinwheel or windsock
- Exploring shape, sorting, weighing, and counting with fruits and vegetables at the Sidewalk Produce Stand
Duration and Opening Hours
The “Curious George: Let’s Get Curious!” exhibit will be on display at the Upcountry History Museum until October 6. The museum is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. from Tuesdays to Saturdays, and from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Sundays.
