Greenville is all set to welcome the newest addition to its coffee culture, as Tselia Coffee prepares to open its doors on North Main Street by mid-September.
The entrepreneurial journey of Matthew Langlands, the brainchild behind Tselia Coffee, can be traced back to his stint at The Press Espresso in California back in 2016. Under the mentorship of co-owners DeShun and Yasmin Wooten, Langlands discovered his passion for coffee roasting. Now, he’s bringing his expertise to the bustling streets of Greenville.
Tselia Coffee, located at 219 N. Main St. between The Comedy Zone and Maren + Main, is a family venture. Matthew’s parents, Annie and Sinclair, are co-owners, while his sister Rebecca manages social media.
Beyond the combination of quality coffee and family passion, the physical space of Tselia Coffee promises to offer a unique experience. The shop’s interior is designed with an industrial elegance, presenting a moody color palette of black and grey, punctuated by pops of pink, the brand’s signature color.
Tselia Coffee is set to offer a selection of pastries, grab-and-go options, and in-house syrups and roasted beans, catering to the city’s diverse taste range and pace of life.
The beans at Tselia Coffee will be sourced from ally coffee, a Greenville-headquartered coffee supplier, among other sources. Customers can expect to taste a variety of locally sourced blends, prepared using the same model roaster on which Langlands learned the trade – a six-pound machine from the San Franciscan Roaster Co.
Post its grand opening in mid-September, Tselia Coffee is expected to operate from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., Tuesday through Sunday. Its wish is to become another hub of community connection, cemented by shared appreciation for high quality, house-roasted coffee.
As Greenville’s coffee scene continues to expand and evolve, the arrival of Tselia Coffee on North Main street marks another exciting chapter. With its unique, industrial-chic style, dedicated family involvement, and commitment to local sourcing and in-house preparation, Tselia Coffee is eagerly anticipated by locals and coffee-lovers alike.
