Sen. Tim Scott Ties the Knot with Mindy Noce in Charleston Church Wedding

In a blissful ceremony in Charleston, U.S. Senator Tim Scott tied the knot with Mindy Noce, an interior designer. The beautiful event took place in the chapel at Seacoast Church on Long Point Road. Scott, a Republican stalwart from South Carolina, expressed heartfelt joy at meeting his life partner at the age of 58. He confessed to requesting divine intervention for a ‘better half’ for the past three decades.

Among the attendees at the event were family, close friends, and political colleagues. Adding to the significance of the event, it is said to be the first wedding of a sitting U.S. senator from South Carolina in over half a century. Attendees included former Speaker of the House Kevin McCarthy, GOP Senate leader from South Dakota, Sen. John Thune, and fellow South Carolina Republican Sen. Lindsey Graham.

A Beautiful Union

The bride and groom shared an emotional first dance to Johnny Rivers’ “Swayin’ to the Music (Slow Dancin’). Scott’s older brother, Ben Scott, played the dutiful role of the best man while the bride’s best friend, Joni Blair from the College of Charleston, served as the matron of honor. Performing the ceremony was Greg Surratt, the founding pastor of Seacoast Church, and a close mentor to Scott.

In an exclusive conversation, Scott confessed to patience and faith leading him to his bride. His time in politics leading to a late union, emphasizing that leaping before the right time could lead to chaos. Scott also acknowledged the shift of focus from politics to personal life.

The couple began dating in late 2022, and on January 20, 2024, Scott proposed Noce at Kiawah Island as the sun set, painting a hue of pink across the Lowcountry sky. He emphasized the importance of experiencing all seasons of life together, pointing out that life isn’t only about the warm seasons but winters too.

Scott shared heartfelt thoughts reflecting on his mother and a joyous look towards the future with his wife. His social media echoed the same sentiment, where he declared his happiness in being married to Noce. Scott ensured his fans that him and his wife will be living in Charleston without sharing any specifics for their honeymoon destination.
