Greenville: TD Bank and TD Center for Arts Integration launch two student art contests

Greenville is abuzz with excitement as TD Bank and the TD Center for Arts Integration have joined forces to present two student art contests in celebration of Artisphere’s 20th anniversary. The contests aim to showcase the talent and creativity of high school and middle school students in the area.

TD 3-D Art contest

The TD 3-D Art contest is open to high school students in Greenville County. Art teachers may submit up to five entries per school by April 1. The guidelines for the contest include:

  • A photograph of each 3D artwork must be sent as a .jpg or .pdf via email or Google Drive link to smartartsgvl@gmail.com.
  • Entries must fit on a 12×12 base.
  • The first-place winner will receive a $300 Visa gift card and other TD Swag. The student’s teacher will receive a $100 Visa gift card.
  • The second-place winner will receive a $200 Visa gift card and other TD Swag.
  • The third-place recipient will receive a $100 Visa gift card and other TD Swag.
  • Two honorable mention winners will each receive a $50 Visa gift card.

TD Mother’s Day Card Art contest

The TD Mother’s Day Card Art contest is open to middle school students in Greenville County. Art teachers may also submit up to five entries per school by April 1. The guidelines for this contest include:

  • A scan of each student-drawn artwork must be submitted as a .jpg or .pdf via email to smartartsgvl@gmail.com.
  • The top three winning students will have their art used as the cover of the TD Mother’s Day coloring cards at Artisphere.
  • Each winner will receive a $100 Visa gift card and other TD Swag.

Recognition and Prizes

Winners for both contests will be announced on April 26 and will be recognized at Artisphere on the TD Stage on May 10. Their award-winning entries will be displayed in the TD Bank tent during the Artisphere weekend, and each winner’s class will receive a pizza party.

“TD Bank is proud to join together with the TD Center for Arts Integration to announce these two, inaugural student art contests in celebration of the 20th anniversary of Artisphere,” said Chris Fincher, regional vice president for TD Bank. “We look forward to seeing all the contest entries and are excited to showcase the work of our talented local student artists during Artisphere this May.”
