As the sun rose over Taylors, South Carolina, voters began lining up at polling stations across the state to cast their ballots in the hotly contested primary election. At Pebble Creek Baptist Church in Greenville County, poll workers reported a steady stream of voters since the doors opened at 7 a.m. Among the early voters was South Carolina Lt. Gov. Pamela Evette, who arrived around 9 a.m. to fulfill her civic duty.
Lt. Gov. Evette shared with HERE News that she voted for former President Donald Trump, citing his experience in the role and his promise to strengthen security at the southern border. She expressed confidence in Trump’s ability to lead the country and mentioned her plans to attend his election party later in the evening at the State Fairgrounds in Columbia.
Evette also shared her prediction for the night, expecting Trump to secure a resounding victory over his opponent, former South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley.
