Communities are advised to expect these storms to settle by sunset.
With grounds across the area heavily saturated by previous rainfall, any additional rain could worsen the situation, leading to short-term flooding on the overly saturated roadways. These upcoming weather disruptions are the result of a cold front that has intensified local rainfall chances recently.
Respite from Storms and Humidity This Week
Come Tuesday, the cold front that has been largely responsible for these weather disruptions is expected to exit our area. This will usher in drier air and significantly reduce the humidity in the city until Friday, providing Myrtle Beach residents a much-needed breather from the on-going heat and humidity.
