A beloved institution in downtown Greenville for over 25 years, Soby’s has become synonymous with exceptional cuisine and warm hospitality. The restaurant sources ingredients from local South Carolina farmers, foragers, and ranchers, ensuring a fresh and flavorful menu. However, it is their iconic shrimp & grits dish that has captured the hearts and taste buds of diners over the years.
Soby’s secret to success lies in their use of Anson Mills’ stone-ground grits, a key ingredient that imparts authenticity and flavor to the dish. To date, Soby’s has served over 260,000 orders of shrimp & grits, a testament to its popularity and acclaim.
The winning recipe features a harmonious blend of stone-ground grits, Andouille Sausage, Piquillo Peppers, Grana Padano, Tarragon, and Tomato Creme Sauce, culminating in a dish that delights diners with each bite. Soby’s, located at 207 S. Main St. in Greenville, welcomes guests from Monday to Thursday from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., Fridays from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m., and weekends from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.
