SCRA Welcomes New Member Companies from Greenville, Clemson

South Carolina – The South Carolina Research Authority (SCRA) is welcoming three new member companies from Clemson and Greenville, thereby boosting the innovation economy of the state. The roster includes NovaVia Spine and Biologics, a Clemson University-based startup; Tax Titans of Greenville; and Terratory LLC, also from Greenville.

New Members and Their Contributions

NovaVia Spine and Biologics, resides in the field of life science with a cutting-edge solution, the NovaVia Annular Repair System. This revolutionary medical device is designed to repair and heal herniated intervertebral discs. Serving as a mechanical barrier, the system covers the annulus fibrosus defect preventing immediate re-herniation of tissue and promoting healing as the patient recovers.

Tax Titans, an IT startup, provides a free platform for small businesses to receive bids and quotes from qualified and vetted tax professionals. The platform enables tax professionals to market their services to 32 million small businesses nationwide. Importantly, professionals receive 90% of their billing without any upfront costs or referral fees.

Terratory LLC, another IT startup, offers a platform that intelligently manages scheduling, routing, and team management for the lawn care industry. The application is designed to simplify the workflow of lawn care professionals by creating daily automatically optimized routes and recurring schedules that adapt according to the season.

Grant Funding

Three companies- Dealerverse of Greenville, Notey of Cayce, and Querri of Mount Pleasant- received new grant funding from SCRA. Dealerverse Inc. was granted a $25,000 Project Development Fund Grant for their AI-driven decision-making tool. Notey Inc., received a $50,000 Acceleration Grant for their AI-enabled, fully gamified music lesson app. Querri Inc. also received a $50,000 Acceleration Grant for its platform that simplifies, analyzes, and moves data by having users ask questions in natural language.

With SCRA’s tax credit program, the Industry Partnership Fund , and its contributions that power the state’s innovation economy, robust grant funding is possible. Contributors to the IPF obtain a dollar-for-dollar state tax credit, making it an easy and effective method to support one of the fastest-growing segments of the South Carolina economy.
