The Salvation Army of Greenville has launched a $16 million capital campaign to fund the renovation and redesign of its social services campus and shelter facilities, titled “Rebuilding Hope Restoring Lives.”
The revitalized campus will feature increased emergency shelter bed capacity, new transitional housing spaces, family units, and larger dining hall facilities. Services will be consolidated under one roof to serve clients more effectively, including rent, utility, food, and clothing assistance.
The renovation project aims to provide a safe place for individuals and families to sleep and restore their dignity, with a focus on empowering independent living through family and transitional housing.
The architecture firm McMillan Pazdan Smith Architecture has been selected for the project. The Salvation Army of Greenville, serving the community for over 119 years, recognizes the growing need for support services due to the increasing homeless population.
