Rise Bakery Owner Purchases Location, Aims to Strengthen West Greenville Community

Rise Bakery Takes Big Step in West Greenville

In the bustling community of West Greenville, there’s some exciting news brewing at Rise Bakery. The owner, Julian Loue, has officially purchased the bakery’s location at 1264 Pendleton Street after having leased it since its opening in 2021. This move marks a significant milestone for Loue, who always envisioned owning the space after the first three years of lease, which began in October 2021.

A Dream Realized

Loue’s vision was clear from the start. Despite having the option to extend his lease, he was determined to make the bakery his own. “When we outfitted the space, I invested about $200,000 into the build-out,” he revealed, shedding light on the extensive work that went into making the bakery a cheerful, cozy spot for locals and visitors alike. “The electrical, the HVAC, the plumbing, you name it. I was like, ‘No, I need to be able to keep this.’”

For Loue, the bakery isn’t just a business; it represents a piece of the American Dream. He is passionate about building not just a successful bakery but also contributing to the growing identity of the Village of West Greenville. “We’re scrappy, right? This is the go-getters neighborhood,” Loue proudly expressed.

Building a Community

As the current vice president of the Village of West Greenville Association, Loue is actively involved in efforts to rebrand the area. The association is striving to transform the neighborhood’s image into simply “The Village.” This initiative reflects a desire to cultivate a close-knit community filled with entrepreneurs and creative individuals.

Working closely with Loue throughout the sale was Rakan Draz, a senior brokerage associate at Trinity Partners. Draz has been by Loue’s side since the beginning, helping him navigate the real estate journey. The partnership has been valuable as they work towards enhancing the area’s appeal and encouraging more local businesses to flourish.

Sweet Offerings Await

As excited as the community is about this big purchase, Rise Bakery continues to serve its cherished customers with delightful treats. Open from Tuesday to Saturday, between 7 a.m. and 3 p.m., the bakery has become a popular spot for breakfast and lunch. With a menu filled with fresh pastries, artisanal breads, and coffee that warms the spirit, there’s something for everyone.

For those exploring the Village of West Greenville, a visit to Rise Bakery is a must. Whether you’re craving a delicious pastry or looking to grab a cup of coffee, you’ll feel a friendly atmosphere that Loue has expertly cultivated. He is truly committed to making Rise Bakery not just about baked goods, but about creating connections within the community.

The Journey Continues

Loue’s journey with Rise Bakery is just beginning. With the purchase of the property now complete, there are endless possibilities on the horizon. Anticipation is building as he looks into making further improvements and additions that will enhance the overall experience for customers.

This proud local business owner is not only laying down roots but is also nurturing the community spirit of West Greenville. As he continues to invest in his business, he’s constantly thinking of ways to support and uplift his neighbors too.

So next time you’re in the area, swing by Rise Bakery to say hello to Julian and indulge in something truly special. After all, it’s not just about the treats; it’s about being a part of a neighborhood that’s growing together!
