Reedy River Greenville Rotary Club Awards Over $80k to Community Organizations from 20th Annual Duck Derby Proceeds
Greenville, S.C. – Close to $80,000 in raised funds from the 20th annual Duck Derby will be distributed among 20 local community beneficiaries by the Rotary Club of the Reedy River Greenville on August 13th. This substantial financial assistance comes as a result of the outstanding support shown by the Duck Derby sponsors and the wider community.
Supporting Local and Global Causes
The cumulative funds, along with two matching grants totaling $13,000 from Rotary District 7750 and a private foundation, will be utilized to further community services and support humanitarian causes worldwide. A significant 89% of these awarded funds will be allocated to local organizations. Moreover, club members also plan to actively participate in various service projects with some local grant recipients, thus extending their support beyond just financial assistance.
