South Carolina High School Football is gearing up for an action-packed season, and the spotlight is on the top running backs in the Upstate region of the SCHSL. With talents ranging from promising freshmen to seasoned seniors, here’s a rundown of the best running backs to watch out for in 2024:

10. Aiden Gibson – Woodruff

Vitals: 6-1, 200, So. | College offers: None

Gibson showcased his skills as a freshman last season, recording 765 yards and seven touchdowns.

9. Trenton Lynch – Spartanburg

Vitals: 5-9, 185, So. | College offers: None

Lynch impressed early on in his freshman year with 828 rushing yards and five touchdowns.

8. KB Henderson – Blue Ridge

Vitals: 5-10, 200, Sr. | College offers: None

Henderson established himself as a force on the field, totaling 1,332 yards and 17 touchdowns last season.

7. KD Patterson – T.L. Hanna

Vitals: 5-11, 185, Sr. | College offer: Gardner-Webb

Patterson’s standout performance included 1,682 yards and 28 touchdowns, with a memorable game against Dutch Fork.

6. Sharode Richardson – Westside
