In a major development from Greenville, Project Hope Foundation, a nonprofit dedicated to providing services for individuals with autism, is planning a new location at the Greenwood Genetic Center Partnership Campus. The innovative move aims to unite diagnosis and treatment aspects for autism under one roof.
Project Hope collaborates with the Greenwood Genetic Center (GGC), which offers clinical care, genetic testing, and research for those affected by genetic disorders. By sharing the same premises, the organizations will boost their ability to help diagnose autism earlier, expanding service access and hastening research and clinical trial opportunities.”
Further construction details remain to be confirmed.

Prisma Health’s Black Doula Program has received a boost in the form of a $200,000 grant from TD Bank. The program, which has successfully supported 100 mothers in its maiden year, aims to improve birth outcomes for Black mothers. The bank’s renewed support will help expand the program’s reach across Upstate and Midlands.
Nationally, health care disparities contribute to higher rates of illness and death among Black Americans. Bridging this gap, the Black Doula Program offers trained doulas and financial grants to provide comfort and support before, during, and after birth. In the coming years, the initiative aims to serve an additional 100 mothers annually.
Money also has been coming in for noble causes as Autobell Car Wash commits to donating $1 from every Rain Repellent Special sale to the Make-A-Wish Foundation. This initiative runs until the end of June, with donations collected from branches in five states.
