Police Arrest Four Men for Burglary and Assault in Travelers Rest

The suspects, armed and aggressive, targeted an apartment at The Vinings on Duncan Chapel Road, where one of the men’s ex-girlfriends resides. The assailants not only unlawfully entered the apartment but also physically assaulted two victims inside before fleeing with stolen items.

According to authorities, the break-in and assault occurred around 7 a.m. on May 19th. The suspects, identified as 35-year-old Dexter Marcus Jackson, 26-year-old Devin Anthony Charping, 25-year-old Bailey Andrew Johnson, and 26-year-old Sturgess Wayne Wilson, forcibly entered the apartment and proceeded to attack the occupants. Jackson was charged with burglary, while Charping faced charges of burglary, assault, and pointing and presenting a firearm. Johnson and Wilson were both charged with burglary and assault.
