Pickens Co. School District Recognized for Innovation at the 2024 Model Schools Conference
Easley, South Carolina – District’s Commitment to Student Success Earns National Recognition
The School District of Pickens County (SDPC) has officially announced its recognition as an Innovative District at the prestigious 2024 Model Schools Conference. The annual event, aims to celebrate notable excellence and innovation in the education sector, particularly highlighting practices that inspire and support educators on a global scale.
The School District has joined the ranks of 11 distinguished institutions selected for this honor, an accolade that celebrates its remarkable dedication to promoting student success and implementing inventive strategies designed to address the diverse learning needs of its student body.
Spotlight on Career Alignment Plan
SDPC earned this distinction for the Liberty Area Schools’ PreK-12 career alignment plan. This plan was developed in close collaboration with the Pickens County Career and Technology Center. As a result, administrators from Liberty Primary, Liberty Elementary, Liberty Middle, Liberty High and the Pickens County Career and Technology Center were duly invited to present at the 2024 Model Schools Conference in Orlando.
