Greenville Journal: Downtown Alive, Main Street Fridays music lineup announced

Outdoor concerts bringing live music to downtown Greenville kick off this week. Piedmont Natural Gas Downtown Alive and Greenville Heritage Main Street Fridays will return to NOMA Square for the 2024 season with a lineup of new and returning artists.

Downtown Alive Lineup

Downtown Alive starts Thursday, March 14 with performances by Linda Faye’s Sound. Benefiting the Metropolitan Arts Council, the weekly music series runs from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. every Thursday until late August.

A new feature for this year’s Downtown Alive is Art After Dark, a dynamic market with books featuring work created by local artists. The market will be held the third Thursday of each month and all proceeds from the market will benefit MAC.

Main Street Fridays Lineup

Main Street Fridays, presented by Pepsi, begins the following day on March 15 with performances by Jack N’ Diane’s Dueling Pianos. Guests can expect 28 weeks of performances until late September held every Friday from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. Admission is free for both Downtown Alive and Main Street Fridays. Food trucks and beverages will be available for spectators to enjoy.

  • March 29 – Second Spin
  • April 5 – Iliana Rose Cuban Jazz Band
  • April 12 – Encore
  • April 19 – Hwy 25 Band
