Nic & Norman’s Restaurant Set to Open in Greenville’s West End on August 6

Greenville’s West End Welcomes Nic & Norman’s Restaurant on August 6

Nic & Norman’s, a highly anticipated restaurant concept developed by Greg Nicotero and Norman Reedus, is set to open its doors in downtown Greenville on August 6. The duo, known for their work on the popular television series The Walking Dead, have created a unique dining experience that is sure to delight Greenville residents and visitors alike.

A New Addition to the West End

The news of Nic & Norman’s arrival in Greenville first broke in February, following the announcement that Smoke on the Water would be relocating to Pelham Road. The restaurant will be housed in the iconic building located at 1 Augusta St., which features a large ‘Welcome to the West End’ mural on its exterior facing South Main Street.

A Sneak Peek at What’s to Come

While the official opening date is still a few days away, Nic & Norman’s treated guests to a soft opening on August 1, giving them a glimpse of what to expect. The restaurant’s senior vice president of operations, David Valentine, has described the atmosphere as “speakeasy-ish, with chandeliers and big back booths.”

A Nod to the Past

The interior of Nic & Norman’s is designed to evoke a Prohibition-era feel, with chandeliers lining the ceiling and curtained booths creating an intimate dining experience. Throughout the space, guests will find on-set photos of Reedus and Nicotero, adding a personal touch to the restaurant.

Greenville’s Allure

Gail Belliston, co-owner of hospitality group 3 Keys and Co. alongside Valentine, expressed a deep appreciation for Greenville, citing similarities to their beloved location in Chattanooga. Belliston stated, “Greenville is so similar [to Chattanooga], with its charming downtown and the river running through the city.”

A Menu of Comfort Classics

Nic & Norman’s menu boasts a wide selection of dishes that pay homage to traditional comfort foods. General Manager Justin Sullivan revealed that the restaurant will initially offer dinner service only, with plans to introduce lunch service on August 10.

From the Coca-Cola braised pork shank to the Big Fish burger, guests can expect a delicious array of options to choose from. Whether grilled, fried, or blackened, each dish is crafted with care and attention to detail.

Excitement Builds for Opening Day

As August 6 approaches, anticipation is mounting for the official opening of Nic & Norman’s in Greenville’s West End. With its unique ambiance, delectable menu, and connections to The Walking Dead, the restaurant is poised to become a must-visit destination for food enthusiasts and fans alike.
