New Live Music Venue Breaks Ground in Greenville

A New Musical Center, Trueline, to Bring Vibrant Entertainment to the City

GREENVILLE, S.C. – The city of Greenville is set to welcome a new live music venue, Trueline, which broke ground on Thursday. Located at 401 Rhett St., the upcoming venue is the brainchild of Michael Grozier, co-founder of the renowned House of Blues concert venues.

Grozier, who was inspired by Greenville’s charm and community spirit, said, “I came to Greenville, and as everybody knows, you fall in love with Greenville right away. The most amazing thing is the kindness in this town, the patience, the love for people.”

Trueline will feature two performance spaces to cater to different audience sizes and preferences. The main room will house 1,700 seats, providing a larger space for popular acts and big-name performers. In addition, there will be a smaller, more intimate space with 400 chairs, offering an up-close and personal experience for music lovers.

Greenville Mayor Knox White expressed his excitement about the project, emphasizing that it reflects the city’s dedication to economic and community growth. He stated, “We’re not a bunch of naysayers who look for reasons not to do something. We look for reasons to do it.”

Trueline aims to become a cultural hub and a hotspot for live music in Greenville, attracting both local and national artists. The venue plans to host a wide range of musical genres, from rock and pop to country and jazz, ensuring there is something for everyone.

With its state-of-the-art sound system and lighting setup, Trueline promises to deliver an exceptional audiovisual experience for concert-goers. The venue’s design incorporates the latest acoustics technology to ensure optimal sound quality in both performance spaces.

In addition to showcasing live performances, Trueline is eager to contribute to the local community and support emerging talent. The venue plans to collaborate with local music schools and organizations to provide opportunities for young musicians to showcase their skills and connect with established artists.

The city of Greenville has been gaining recognition for its vibrant arts and entertainment scene in recent years. Trueline’s addition to the local music landscape will further enhance the city’s cultural offerings and attract music enthusiasts from across the region.

Trueline’s construction is expected to generate job opportunities for local contractors, and once the venue is operational, it will create numerous employment positions in areas like event management, production, and hospitality.

Construction on Trueline is projected to be completed by late 2025, and the venue plans to hold its grand opening in early 2026. The excitement and anticipation for Trueline’s arrival are palpable among Greenville’s residents, who eagerly await the arrival of this new entertainment destination.

As the music industry continues to evolve and adapt, Trueline aims to become a destination that offers both memorable live experiences and a platform for emerging artists to showcase their talent. With Greenville’s support and enthusiasm, the city is poised to become a major player in the regional music scene.
