Exciting New Flight Routes Launch from Upstate Airports!

Spartanburg, S.C. – Big news is taking off for travelers in the Upstate! Allegiant Airlines has just announced their plans to introduce new flight routes from both Greenville-Spartanburg International Airport and Asheville Regional Airport, bringing lots of buzz to the local travel scene.

Nonstop Flights to Florida’s Shores

Starting in February, you’ll be able to hop on a flight to the sunny *Sarasota Bradenton International Airport*. Yes, you heard that right! Allegiant will operate direct flights leaving GSP twice a week. Passengers can look forward to flying out on Thursdays and Sundays, with the inaugural flight scheduled for February 13.

Dave Edwards, the president and CEO of Greenville-Spartanburg Airport, expressed enthusiasm about the new route, noting that it offers greater access to Florida’s beautiful west coast. He stated, “This new route provides greater access to the beautiful west coast of Florida, a destination that has been frequently requested by our passengers.” With snowy winter days ahead, who wouldn’t want to escape to sunny Florida?

Not only does this provide an exciting getaway, but it also marks a significant expansion for Allegiant from GSP. This will now be their fourth destination, joining existing routes to Fort Lauderdale, Orlando and St. Pete-Clearwater. That means more options for anyone looking to flee to Florida’s warm beaches!

Additions to Asheville’s Sky

But that’s not all! If you’re based up in Asheville, you’re in for a treat, too. Allegiant has also announced a brand-new semester-long route from Asheville to *Washington Dulles International Airport*, set to kick off on June 20. This year-round service will operate on Mondays and Fridays, giving passengers plenty of opportunities to explore the nation’s capital.

And guess what? This marks the twentieth destination for Allegiant from Asheville Regional Airport! Talk about a major milestone for all you Asheville travelers. Now you can visit museums, monuments, and vibrant neighborhoods in D.C. without worrying about the hassle of layovers.

Why This Expansion Matters

These new routes signal a greater investment in the *Upstate travel market* and a commitment to providing more options for locals. Air travel from these regions is on the rise, and Allegiant’s expansion is a clear reflection of that trend. It offers residents more choices when it comes to vacationing or visiting family and friends.

Whether you’re looking to bask in the Florida sun or immerse yourself in the rich history of the nation’s capital, Allegiant Airlines is making it easier than ever to take to the skies. And what could be better than that?

Time to Book Your Getaway!

As the excitement builds for the new flights, it’s the perfect time for travelers to start planning their next adventures. With winter quickly approaching and holiday travel on the horizon, these new routes can make getting to sunny destinations or Washington D.C. a breeze. So grab your calendars and mark those dates – the sky is the limit for Upstate travelers!

Remember, the world is out there waiting for you. Whether it’s sandy beaches or the bustling streets of D.C., new adventures are just a flight away!
