Connection Is All The RAGE – Conference Aims To Help Upstate Women Navigate Challenges Of Middle Years

Event Marks A New Journey For Women In Their Middle Years

Greenville, – With an aim to serve an often overlooked demographic, a conference designed for women navigating the challenges of their middle years is set to get underway. All the RAGE, an acronym for ‘Reinventing, Activating, Growing, and Enjoying’, this unique initiative is being spearheaded by Andrea Smith and her professional team, who have identified a need for community support for this particular age group.

Constructing an Essential Support Network

After reminiscing about her past, Smith became aware of an opportunity to help others in the same phase of life she found herself in. The idea of creating a supportive network for women witnessing changes in their relationships post child dependency, coping with parents’ health issues, and managing relationship changes such as divorces, gave birth to All the RAGE.

The conference, scheduled to kick off on April 6, will address a myriad of challenges women face, emotional and hormonal changes, and the often-overwhelming task of rediscovering oneself post-child dependency. Smith believes such platforms are integral for socio-emotional wellness and can help prevent issues such as isolation, anxiety, and depression.

An Inclusive Approach Towards Age

Although All the RAGE primarily addresses women experiencing an empty nest syndrome, the program does not strictly define its participants by a specific age range. Smith insists this program caters to all those who feel the need for a supportive community as they navigate through a crucial phase of their life.

A Comprehensive Program

The program does not focus solely on emotional and mental health challenges but also emphasizes maintaining physical well-being with tailored exercise and nutrition programs. Social activities, including hiking, scrapbooking, and meet-ups for coffee, are designed to encourage social connectedness and foster new friendships, which Smith believes to be essential in aging gracefully.

The one-day kickoff conference will entail four sessions, each led by industry experts, which will shed light on essential areas like hormone replacement medication, lifestyle choices such as exercise and nutrition, emotional and mental health, and taking care of social needs during midlife.

Conference Highlights

The conference is set to close with an uplifting performance by Anita Renfroe, renowned for her musical comedy sporting a “sass, edge” and a “slightly offbeat take on all things female.” Participants will depart with a detailed schedule of weekly follow-ups including exercise classes, informative seminars, and social activities.

Looking Towards a Brighter Future

Spearheaded by Andrea Smith, along with a dedicated team of professionals, All the RAGE endeavors to aid women in their journey to Reinvent, Activate, Grow, and Enjoy their middle years. This carefully crafted program offers holistic support to this demographic that has been overlooked and under-served for far too long. This is not merely a conference; it is the onset of a community that promotes health, happiness and the prospect of positive change in their lives.
