Michelin North America has named Matthew Cabe as its new president and CEO. Cabe brings over 19 years of experience with the company to his new role, where he will be overseeing key customer-facing functions. His appointment comes as Michelin focuses on its sustainable mobility strategy, aiming to balance customer centricity, financial results, environmental respect, and employee empowerment. Prior to this role, Cabe served in leadership positions within the Michelin Group and holds degrees in mechanical engineering and business administration.
In addition to his role at Michelin, Cabe will join the board of the U.S. Tire Manufacturers Association. Michelin’s North America region includes the U.S. and Canada and employs about 23,500 individuals at 35 sites. Cabe takes over from Alexis Garcin, with whom Michelin will be announcing a new role soon. Cabe’s appointment is expected to bolster Michelin’s market presence and drive growth in the region, leveraging his experience and skills in the automotive industry.
