Simpsonville, South Carolina— Homegrown artist, Marcus King, returns to his roots bringing his Family Reunion Tour to the CCNB Amphitheater in Simpsonville on Saturday, August 24, and Sunday, August 25.
Marcus King, a Greenville native, has made a significant impact in the world of southern rock. The 28-year-old was recently inducted into the South Carolina Music and Entertainment Hall of Fame. Known from his high school days at The Fine Arts Center of Greenville, his journey to national recognition started with a viral video at Norman’s Rare Guitars that recorded 1.8 million views. The holder of six studio albums and a Grammy Nominee, he has showcased remarkable talent and musical prowess. Currently residing in Tennessee and glowing in the warmth of a budding career and recent marriage to wife, Briley Hussey, Marcus King is bringing the Family Reunion Tour back to his South Carolinian roots.
The Marcus King Band Family Reunion Tour is a collaborative effort by Live Nation and Ticketmaster. Bringing 12 handpicked acts to Simpsonville on August 24 and 25, Marcus King is introducing the tour to the Upstate for the first time in 2024. The two-day sonic treat will kick off with performances from the Marcus King Band, Band of Horses, Nikki Lane, Ethan Regan, Darby Wilcox, and Britti on Saturday. Sunday will follow with an equally impressive line-up of The Avett Brothers, Marcus King & friends, Sierra Ferrell, Richy Mitch, Kashus Culpepper, and Barrett.
Complementing the concert’s ambiance, food will be catered by restaurants; Home Team BBQ and Southern Smoke BBQ. There are four different ticket pricing options available for the concert: general admission, two-day general admission, VIP, and super VIP, ranged between $69.50 and $349.50. Proceedings from the concert will generously fund Marcus King’s Curfew Foundation, which was created to support musicians struggling with mental health issues and addictions.
