Greenville Alumna Elected to SC Supreme Court

Letitia H. Verdin, a 1992 Furman University biology alumna, was unanimously elected by the South Carolina legislature to the state’s highest court on June 5.

Verdin, who graduated from Furman University with a degree in biology in 1992, has made history by becoming the third woman in South Carolina to hold a seat on the Supreme Court. Her election to the esteemed position marks a significant milestone in her legal career.
