Larry Miller Named to GADC Board

Dr. Larry Miller, Vice President of Learning and Workforce Development at Greenville Technical College, has been appointed to the Greenville Area Development Corporation’s (GADC) board of directors. The announcement was made by Greenville County Council Chairman Dan Tripp.
Miller’s term on the 12-member board began on May 1, 2024, and will continue until June 30, 2026. The GADC is focused on improving the quality of life for Greenville County citizens by promoting investment and job growth from new and existing companies.
As a member of the GADC board, Miller will contribute his expertise in learning and workforce development to support the organization’s mission. The GADC acts as a facilitator between client companies and local/state government and the Greenville business community.
Throughout his career, Miller has been dedicated to education and has held various leadership positions. Since 2020, he has served as the Vice President of Learning and Workforce Development at Greenville Technical College. In this role, he oversees the college’s five academic schools and the Corporate and Continuing Education division.
Prior to joining Greenville Tech, Miller served as a research scholar at the University of Washington, a professor at Rutgers University, and the dean of the School of Education at Florida SouthWestern State College. He has also been actively involved in the community, serving as Vice-Chair of the Greenville County Workforce Development Board and on the United Way of Greenville County Impact Board.
Miller’s extensive educational background includes undergraduate and graduate degrees in business administration from the State University of New York at Buffalo. He also holds a Ph.D. in public administration with concentrations in public finance and social policy from Syracuse University.
Upon his appointment to the GADC board, Miller expressed his enthusiasm for contributing to the organization’s mission. He believes that promoting job growth aligns closely with Greenville Technical College’s goal of transforming lives through education.
