The statement read, “The vast majority of our customers affected by Hurricane Helene will have their services restored no later than Monday, Oct. 21.” Many residents in both North and South Carolina have seen progress, as repairs have been completed in several areas and teams are working diligently to speed up restoration efforts.

So, where do things stand right now? Here are the latest figures regarding those still without service:
- Anderson: 96% of the customers have their service restored, leaving about 1,805 households still offline.
- Greenville: Here, 98% are back online, but 4,463 customers are still waiting for their internet to be restored.
- Spartanburg: This area shows 95% restoration but still has 4,084 customers offline.
When looking at the situation in North Carolina, the overall statistics are showing over 98% have regained access; however, some regions are still experiencing delays. Let’s break it down:
- Buncombe: 88% restored, but 12,303 customers remain disconnected.
- Henderson: 74% are back online, but there are still 1,001 waiting for restoration.
- Mitchell: They’re at 70% restoration, leaving 743 customers without service.
Even though Spectrum estimates that full internet restoration will be achieved by the end of today, there can always be unexpected delays due to current weather conditions and the scope of repairs needed in certain locations.
