This holiday season, everyone’s favorite neonatologist, Dr. Ken Koschnitzki, popularly known as the Grinch, took a break from his usual routine to sprinkle some much-needed holiday joy at the Mack Pazdan Neonatal Care Unit in Bon Secours St. Francis Eastside Hospital. While many picture the Grinch as a figure who dislikes everything happy, Dr. Koschnitzki embodies the opposite. He works tirelessly in the Level II NICU, providing round-the-clock care to tiny little warriors. His visit was not just a surprise for the families and staff but also an incredible boost to their spirits during a time that can be emotionally challenging for many. This is all part of a mission to uplift those who are navigating the ups and downs of having a newborn in intensive care.
Dr. Grinch really knows how to brighten up the NICU! Family members were delighted as he cheerfully engaged with patients and offered comforting words. Additionally, he made time to visit mothers and mothers-to-be across various hospital units, spreading some much-needed holiday cheer. In a different vein of positivity, the U.S. Endowment for Forestry and Communities has welcomed two new directors: William Crawford and Deborah Spalding.
