Greenville YMCA CEO Announces Retirement, Successor Named
After more than 20 years of commendable service as CEO and President of Greenville’s YMCA, Scot Baddley has decided to retire this September. The baton of the organization will be passed on to Sam Franklin, currently serving as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer. Baddley’s tenure has left a powerful legacy with significant growth and outreach expansion across sectors such as community health awareness, philanthropic support, and youth development.
Under his 20-year leadership, YMCA of Greenville’s operating budget increased from a modest $9 million to a remarkable $20 million. This growing association, encompassing ten family branch facilities, has also seen unprecedented growth in the number of people and families it serves; figures jumping from 12,000 in 2004 to a staggering 70,000 today, making it the largest YMCA in the state.
Bon Secours Debuts New Downtown Pharmacy
The well-regarded Bon Secours St. Francis announced the launch of a new Harness Health retail pharmacy at its downtown hospital. The primary aim is to reduce instances of complications arising from patients not receiving their prescribed medications.
The innovative ‘Meds to Beds’ program, where prescriptions will be delivered directly to patients before their discharge, is one of the many programs initiated by the health system to ensure patient adherence to medication.
Additionally, in collaboration with the nonprofit distributor, Medications of Hope, Bon Secours also plans to deliver free medications to qualifying patients. This initiative is set to aid low-income, chronically ill patients, who often face difficulties affording vital medications required for their treatment.
