Exciting news is buzzing around Greenville as the Greenville Technical College Area Commission recently announced four finalists to take the helm as the college’s next president! This unveiling took place on March 5, and it’s certainly a pivotal moment for the institution and the entire community.
In case you didn’t know, the hunt for a new president kicked off back in October 2024. It’s all to find a successor for the beloved President Keith Miller, who has decided it’s time to retire come July 2025. After serving the college for so long, he’s sure to be missed, but everyone is looking forward to seeing who will step into his shoes. The area commission received a whopping total of 61 applications, showcasing interest from talented individuals not just locally, but from across the state and even nationwide!
Through a thorough review and interview process, the commission diligently narrowed down the pool of applicants to 11 semifinalists. Each candidate underwent rigorous evaluations so that the best of the best would emerge. Now, we have our final four contenders poised to engage with the community and share their visions for the future of Greenville Technical College. It’s a fantastic opportunity for everyone to get involved in this important decision-making process!
The most exciting part? The four finalists will host a series of public forums! The forums are set to take place in the Multi-Purpose Room at the Prisma Health Center for Health & Life Sciences.
