Greenville is quickly earning a reputation as a specialty coffee city, thanks to the growing roster of microroasters in the area. With acclaimed roasteries like Bridge City Coffee being named Roaster of the Year by Roast magazine, it’s no wonder coffee enthusiasts are taking notice. These microroasters, who roast batches of less than 150 pounds of coffee, have created an environment that allows even smaller-batch roasters to thrive. This has led to an influx of new micro roasters in the area, many of whom are making a difference through their flavorful coffee and meaningful causes.
Good Enough Coffee, founded by Bethany and Dallas Garrison, believes in making good coffee without the pressure of trying to be the best. They started selling their home-roasted beans at pop-up markets before expanding into a wholesale facility. Proceeds from their sales go towards supporting economic development in the countries where their green coffee is sourced. Bethany also aims to raise awareness about the impact of coffee sourcing on the environment and people’s lives.
