Landmark Greenville News Building Sold to Consulting Firm; Find Great People Relocating Downtown

In a significant development in downtown Greenville, the iconic Greenville News building within the vibrant Camperdown Plaza was recently sold. The new occupant will be the renowned recruiting and HR firm – Find Great People (FGP). This Greenville-based enterprise confirmed plans to relocate its headquarters to this culture-rich, downtown location by summer of 2025.

FGP Enthusiastic About Downtown Move

John Uprichard, CEO of FGP, expressed his excitement about the move, “The Greenville News building has been a cornerstone of our community for decades, we are grateful for the opportunity to establish ourselves in this significant landmark. The bustling Camperdown Plaza offers an enhanced experience for our clients and employees. Being in the heart of our city will amplify our purpose- to find great people to build great companies, and offer further opportunities to positively impact our community.”

The sale of the Greenville News building was recorded at $10.7 million according to the Greenville County Register of Deeds. This acquisition marks a new chapter not only for FGP but also for the many evolving businesses and organizations within the city.

An Established Building with New Owners

The iconic building was previously owned by CAP Camperdown Greenville News LLC and was acquired by 32EBroadStreet LLC., as on June 27, 2024. This corner establishment offers approximately 35,000 square feet of Class A Office space and boasts of having Larkin’s Restaurant, a popular local eatery, on the Camperdown Plaza.

It’s worth noting that Greenville News, a part of the influential media network, will continue operating from a segment of the office space until the summer of 2025. The Furman Co. Investment Advisory Services will manage the new ownership entity.

Speaking on this development, Steve Navarro, president of Furman stated, “This is a trophy property located at the epicenter of downtown Greenville. We are proud to take ownership and anticipate repositioning the building with exceptional occupants.”

This move by FGP represents its commitment towards the Greenville community where it has been a strategic partner for more than 20 years. Its mission to enable the growth of companies through stellar talent will now resonate louder from its new, vibrant location.
