Bon Secours St. Francis Launches Second Mobile Mammography Coach

Bon Secours St. Francis has introduced its second mobile mammography coach in the Upstate. The coach, equipped with the latest 3D technology, will travel five to six days a week, offering screenings in Greenville, Anderson, Pickens, and Oconee counties. Lead mammography technologist, Amanda Yanchus, emphasizes the importance of early detection in the fight against breast cancer, a disease that affects one in eight women in their lifetime. The mobile coach aims to make screenings more accessible and convenient for women in remote communities. Screenings are covered by most insurance carriers and do not require a doctor’s order. ReWa Supports Environment with Oyster Reef Restoration

ReWa (Renewable Water Resources) of Greenville is actively involved in restoring oyster reefs along South Carolina’s coast as part of its commitment to preserving the ecosystem. Through partnerships with the S.C. Department of Natural Resources and The Jones Oyster Co., ReWa collects and recycles oyster shells to create reefs. The initiative, ongoing since 2017, aims to enhance water quality and provide a sustainable habitat for marine life. The Jones Oyster Co. contributes by recycling shells from its restaurant, further supporting environmental conservation efforts.

Carolina Handling Celebrates 58th Anniversary with Hunger Relief Campaign
