Marketplace Greenville Gala Raises Funds, Hope For Cancer Connection

The 40th annual Hope Ball is set to return to Greenville on April 26. Organized by volunteers from Neighborhood Cancer Connection, formerly known as the Cancer Society of Greenville County, the glamorous biannual ball aims to raise $750,000 to support the organization’s operating budget for the next two years. More than 600 attendees are expected to gather at the 405 Venue for an evening filled with catering by Table 301 and dance music by the Atlanta Party Fanatics. The event serves as the organization’s largest fundraiser, following the success of raising $675,000 in 2022. Neighborhood Cancer Connection provides financial aid, counseling, nutrition, and equipment to local cancer patients, with Executive Director Lisa Colby emphasizing the importance of blending practical and emotional support for those battling cancer.

Chamber’s Leadership Greenville Honored For Impact On Community

Greenville City Council Member John DeWorken recently presented a proclamation to the Greenville Chamber of Commerce in recognition of the 50-year milestone of Leadership Greenville. The program, designed to develop qualified leaders and support community projects, has graduated over 2,400 individuals and completed nearly 80 community service projects since its inception in 1974. The chamber is now focusing on its new program, IMPACT Fellows, catering to executive leaders dedicated to community improvement, with plans for the inaugural class in 2026.

United Community Adds Festival To Reedy River Run

The 46th Annual United Community Reedy River Run and Festival is set to take place on April 20, featuring both 5K and 10K races with the finish line at the new United Community headquarters on Camperdown Way. In collaboration with the Greenville Track Club, the festival will offer a variety of family-friendly activities, food vendors, and live music, celebrating the company’s investment of $65 million in its new headquarters and downtown branch.

Strides for GAPS Raises Awareness Of Parkinson’s
