Greenville Welcomes Major Investment in Lithium-ion Battery Production

A significant federal financial boost is on the way for the city as EnerSys, a global leader in stored energy solutions, has been chosen to enter into award negotiations for a staggering $199 million from the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE). In total, EnerSys is planning to invest about $615 million to construct and get this massive facility up and running within the next four years.
