Hey there, Greenville! We have some buzzing news for all you travel enthusiasts out there! The Greenville-Spartanburg International Airport (GSP) is shaking things up a bit, and we have all the juicy details on the latest flight updates. Mark your calendars because some new adventures are just around the corner!
If you love a sunny getaway, you’re in luck! Starting on February 13, Allegiant Airlines is launching a brand new nonstop flight from GSP to the beautiful Sarasota-Bradenton International Airport in Florida. That’s right, folks! You’ll be able to soak up some rays on the sandy beaches as Allegiant will operate this flight on Thursdays and Sundays all year round. This addition is part of Allegiant’s big plan to expand with an impressive 44-route expansion rolled out just recently. How awesome is that?
However, it seems some flights will be saying goodbye. Avelo Airlines has quietly disappeared from the GSP lineup, halting its service to Rochester, NY, and Manchester, NH. With their website only showing New Haven, Connecticut as the sole direct destination now, we can only hope that more routes will sprout up in the future.
Meanwhile, Breeze Airways is revving things up a notch! They’re bumping up their route frequency to Providence, Rhode Island, and Tampa, Florida. You’ll now find three flights a week instead of just two! And get this—Breeze is the only airline that can take you directly from GSP to the sunny West Coast, with a flight to Los Angeles. It looks like the travel opportunities are expanding rapidly!
The company already poured $130 million into their facility, which specializes in brewing, bottling, and distributing some delicious flavored iced teas and lemonades. Their enhanced facility is expected to kick off operations this month, with the latest investment going towards a new production line to keep up with the ever-increasing demand.
And lastly, let’s talk about something uplifting! A new initiative called HerHaus is sprouting up from a local marketing firm right here in Greenville. Aimed at empowering women, HerHaus offers a subscription-based platform that provides a supportive community for women looking to connect, learn, and grow together.
Their services feature workshops, panels, and even discounts across the Upstate, all to encourage a vibrant community spirit. Founder Lindsay Niedringhaus expressed, “Our mission at HerHaus is to create an environment where women can come together to gain strength, knowledge, confidence, and know they’re not alone.” What a wonderful way to motivate and uplift!
So there you have it, Greenville! The landscape at GSP is shifting, local businesses are booming, and exciting initiatives are underway. Whether you’re planning to hop on a plane or simply enjoy a refreshing iced tea, there’s plenty to look forward to in our fabulous community. Here’s to sunny days ahead!
