Great news for Greenville residents! On September 27th, Sprouts Farmers Market officially opened its doors at the North Hills Shopping Center. This location is nestled right at the corner of North Pleasantburg and East North Street, making it super convenient for anyone in the area. Sprouts is known for its vibrant produce and health-focused products, and this new store promises to deliver a slightly different experience compared to its Simpsonville location, which opened back in 2018.
One of the standout features of this new Sprouts is its smaller layout. This store employs a cozy design, with a footprint of about 23,000 square feet, compared to the previous locations’ larger 30,000+ square-foot setups. Courtney Schrauben Haik, the senior public relations specialist, mentioned, “We wanted to keep it more of an intimate experience.” And they have nailed it!
As with all Sprouts markets, the fresh produce section is strategically placed at the center of the store. Sprouts puts a lot of thought into how they present their fruits and veggies. Store manager Mike Billingsley reveals that a whopping 80% of produce is purchased based on its visual appeal. To enhance shoppers’ experiences, the store’s wet rack features delightful color breaks to make it easier to spot the freshest options.
The aisles are also redesigned to be shorter and wider, creating a relaxed shopping atmosphere. The team at Sprouts wants guests to feel as though they are on a treasure hunt for their favorite items, making each shopping trip an exciting adventure.
With busy schedules in mind, the Sprouts Greenville location is championing the grab-and-go dining experience. The deli section is conveniently positioned at the front of the store, ensuring that everyone can easily grab snacks or meals as they head in or out. They’ve even received a lot of buzz online for their popular Sprouts sandwich, which features turkey, provolone, lettuce, tomato, and mayo on sourdough, served with chips and water—all for just $5!
Sprouts has also introduced a “new-for-you” aisle, which showcases exciting fresh items that will only be in stock for a few months. Look for the orange tags throughout the store to find new goodies waiting to be discovered!
Environmental consciousness remains a priority for Sprouts. The new bulk department offers a variety of dry goods and snacks, helping to reduce packaging and plastic usage. This layout not only promotes sustainability but also provides customers with the chance to buy as much or as little as they desire, aligning perfectly with their eco-friendly goals.
Along with the opening of the new store, Sprouts is also enhancing its private labels, covering products like snacks, supplements, and even beauty items. While Sprouts provides a unique selection, it’s important to note they don’t carry all major brands—such as Coca-Cola products—as they focus on specialty items instead.
In preparation for opening day, Sprouts hired 82 new employees in August to help serve the community. Mike Billingsley, the store manager, made the move to Greenville in July after transferring from a Sprouts location in Raleigh. It seems he is excited to be part of the Greenville community!
If you’re curious to check out the new Sprouts, head over to 2345 E. North St., where doors are open daily from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. Be sure to mark your calendars for the opening weekend deals by visiting their website.
