Scout’s Doughnuts, known for its unique and creative flavors, is expanding its footprint in Greenville. The husband-and-wife duo behind Scout’s Doughnuts, Ryland and J.P. Rainsford, have taken over the unit next to their flagship East North Street location to offer seating and a full-service coffee bar. This expansion will double the space, allowing for an enhanced dining experience for customers.
The new space will feature an expanded coffee menu and will eventually introduce doughnut and breakfast sandwiches to their offerings. The grand opening of the expanded location is set for Saturday, June 15, with regular service hours from Tuesday through Saturday, 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Curean, a popular spot in Greenville’s West End, has recently introduced a new brunch menu that showcases Mediterranean-inspired dishes. Owned by Vickie Zambrano and helmed by chef Austyn McGroarty, Curean’s brunch menu features a blend of savory and sweet options influenced by Zambrano’s Greek heritage.
Standout items on the brunch menu include the halloumi French toast and baklava cinnamon rolls, which offer a unique twist with pistachio frangipane. To accompany the delicious fare, Curean serves up refreshing mimosas, including a blood orange cardamom mimosa with fresh-squeezed juice. Brunch is served on Saturdays and Sundays from 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Sushi & Pho, a new Asian fusion restaurant in Greer, is making waves with its selection of sushi, pho, and poke bowls. with origins in Vietnam, Japan, and Hawaii, Sushi & Pho offers a build-your-own poke bowl concept, allowing diners to customize their bowls with fresh ingredients.
For those unfamiliar with the term, “poke” (pronounced “pok-keh”) means “cut chunks” in Hawaiian and refers to a traditional dish of diced raw fish served as an appetizer or main course. The restaurant is located at 2117 Old Spartanburg Road in Greer.
Naked Pasta, known for its grab-and-go pasta offerings, is undergoing an expansion in the Village of West Greenville. The upfitting of the new space will include small plates, an expanded grocery selection, a wine and beer bar, and outdoor seating for al fresco dining.
While construction is in progress, Naked Pasta continues to operate out of 404 Cedar Lane Road near Swamp Rabbit Cafe. Customers can order online or call in for next-day pickup. The business also maintains a presence at the TD Saturday Market in downtown Greenville.
Vintage Coffee Cafe, a Mount Pleasant-based establishment, has opened its doors in Greenville’s Overbrook neighborhood. The cafe offers a variety of breakfast sandwiches, açaí bowls, toasts, and, of course, coffee. Located at 1501 E. North St., Vintage Coffee Cafe is already becoming a local favorite.
