Greenville Hosts Filmmakers for Reedy Reels Festival Breakout Sessions

Greenville, a vibrant city in South Carolina, will be hosting two prominent filmmakers for breakout sessions at the upcoming 2024 Piedmont Natural Gas Presents Reedy Reels: The Greenville Film Festival. The festival is set to take place in downtown Greenville, showcasing a diverse selection of films over three days, starting on March 22.

Filmmakers at the Festival

Two filmmakers, Jessica Sherr and Collins Abbott White, will lead the breakout sessions during the festival. Jessica Sherr, hailing from New York, is known for her work as an actress, writer, and producer. She has made appearances on popular television shows like “Claws,” “Cloak and Dagger,” and “Blue Bloods.” On the other hand, Collins Abbott White is the owner of Other Vision Studios and has received accolades for his film “37 Ghosts,” which won the Palmetto Prize at Reedy Reels in 2018.

Highlight Events

The festival will feature a range of events including:

  • An evening showing of Jessica Sherr’s award-winning film “Wicked Image” on March 22
  • A session by Collins Abbott White geared towards student filmmakers on March 23 at 9:30 a.m.
  • A question and answer segment with Jessica Sherr on March 23 at 12:15 p.m.

According to Matt Foster, a co-founder of the festival, “Collins and Jessica bring amazing insights to the world of filmmaking, and we are honored to have them sharing their stories in Greenville”

Guests who have purchased day or weekend passes for the festival will have the opportunity to attend the breakout sessions led by Sherr and White.
