Welcome to Greenville, where the aroma of freshly brewed coffee fills the air! A delightful new spot for coffee enthusiasts has opened its doors, and it’s causing quite a buzz in the neighborhood. Meet Tselia Coffee, a charming café owned and operated by the Langlands family right on the bustling N. Main Street. If you haven’t stopped by yet, here’s what you’re missing out on!
So, who are the Langlands? This hardworking family includes mom Annie, dad Sinclair, their son Matthew, and daughter Rebecca. Together, they have turned their passion for coffee into a thriving business. They moved from sunny Southern California three years ago, seeking a tighter-knit community and a better quality of life. And guess what? They found it! The moment they stepped into Greenville, they knew it was the perfect place to plant their roots—and their coffee beans.
Matthew, the family’s coffee maestro, has been in the coffee scene since he was 18. It all started as a barista gig, but he quickly grew passionate about the art of roasting. His dream of opening a coffee shop became a family project, and after years of planning, they officially launched Tselia Coffee at 219 N. Main St. this week. How exciting is that?
Prepare your taste buds! Tselia Coffee isn’t just your average café. It features an in-house roastery that expertly roasts beans, creating proprietary blends for their delicious espresso drinks. They’ve curated a selection that includes house-made pastries and a variety of teas. Oh, and let’s not forget the house-made syrups! From the sweet and herbaceous honey lavender to the delicate rose cardamom, every item is crafted with love and attention to detail.
In a stunning nod to creativity, Matthew oversees the roasting process right in the café, allowing customers to see the magic unfold through a glassed-in space. You can expect a rotation of offerings, as he loves experimenting with different beans and roasting techniques to keep things fresh and exciting. “If you get him talking about beans and roasting, you’ll find yourself there for a while!” Rebecca joked about her brother’s passion.
The interior of Tselia Coffee is as enchanting as the drinks on the menu. With its charming vibe, the space features beautiful cherry blossom trees that add an ethereal touch. Whether you’re seeking a cozy spot for a quiet cup or a lively atmosphere to connect with friends, Tselia has you covered. The family worked hard to transform their location, even sandblasting bricks and painting walls together. Talk about teamwork!
At Tselia, it’s not just about coffee; it’s about building a community. The Langlands family is committed to nurturing an environment where people can gather and connect. Their vision includes future plans to host latte art competitions—a fun way to showcase local baristas’ talents and add to Greenville’s coffee culture. Plus, they’re planning to add a variety of beverages on tap, including kombucha and beer. Cheers to that!
The café is currently open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Sunday, ready to serve up tasty brews and quick bites. So why not take a trip down to Tselia Coffee? Whether you’re a coffee aficionado or just looking for a cozy hangout, this new gem on Main Street is waiting to welcome you with open arms. Experience the magic of family, coffee, and community—one cup at a time!
