Exciting Events in Greenville, S.C. This Week

Greenville, S.C.—This week is packed with family-friendly activities sure to bring smiles to faces of all ages. With the school year starting, there are plenty of options to keep both kids and parents entertained.

On August 9, families can join the Park Hop Play Date from 10 a.m. to noon at Kids Planet in Greer. This event is a great way for little ones to play while parents mingle. Later that day, the Switch-A-Roos Children’s Consignment Sale begins at the Greenville Convention Center. This sale runs from August 9-11 and features gently used children’s items.

At 3 p.m. on August 9, join the fun at The Bunny Hive for Books and Bubbles, a free class designed for young readers. For a night of movies, visit Judson Mill where Movies at the Mill starts at dusk, complete with food trucks and popcorn!

On August 10 and 11, don’t miss the Really Good, Really Big, Really Cheap Book Sale at McAlister Square, which supports the Greenville Literacy Association. For those who love fresh produce and fun activities, the TD Saturday Market runs from 8 a.m. to noon at downtown Greenville.

For toddlers and preschoolers, Toddler Time with Curious George takes place at 10 a.m. on August 10 at the Upcountry History Museum. Registration is required!

The following week, on August 13, several exciting events include Mini Makers: Enchanted Forest at TR Makers Co. and story time activities at local libraries. Check out the Greer Farmers Market later that day where families can connect with community resources.

As the week wraps up, don’t miss Salsa at Sunset on August 16, a free event celebrating Latin music and culture at Camperdown Plaza. For a cultural experience, “Avatar: The Last Airbender in Concert” is on schedule at The Peace Center on August 18.
