Attempted Murder Charges Filed in Greenville Dating App Robbery Case

Two men are facing attempted murder charges after shooting and robbing a victim they met on a dating app, according to the Greenville County Sheriff’s Office. Deputies said the suspects, 21-year-old Douglas Daguan Mcgreer-Norris and 19-year-old Izaiah Armand Puckett, met the victim on a dating app and arranged a meeting to rob him of his possessions.

Meeting Turns Violent

During the meeting on March 6 near Hudson Road and St. Augustine Drive, a physical altercation occurred between the three men. Mcgreer presented a gun in an attempt to rob the victim. The victim was shot multiple times, but is expected to recover, deputies said.

Arrest and Charges

Both suspects were arrested a month after the altercation. They are being held at the Greenville County Detention Center on assault/attempted murder, robbery, possession of a weapon during violent crime, and conspiracy charges on no bond.
