Greenville has a lot to celebrate when it comes to its high schools. According to the latest rankings from U.S. News & World Report, six high schools in Greenville County made it into the top 25 public high schools in South Carolina for the 2024-2025 school year.
Wade Hampton High School was the star of the show, landing at an impressive 10th place in the rankings. Following close behind were Greenville Senior High School Academy at 13th, Riverside High School at 19th, and Eastside High School at 20th. Mauldin High School and J.L. Mann High Academy also secured spots in the top 25, coming in at 21st and 23rd respectively.
Other schools in the county had varied rankings. Hillcrest High School was ranked 93rd, while Berea High School and Travelers Rest High School came in at 96th and 125th respectively. Blue Ridge High School, Greer High School, and Southside High School were ranked 131st, 134th, and 142nd respectively. Carolina Academy High School was placed at 157th. Notably, Fountain Inn High School, which just opened its doors in 2021, did not make the rankings.
