Greenville County Schools Shine in State Rankings

Greenville, SC – Six high schools in Greenville County have recently made it to the top 25 list for public high schools in South Carolina, according to the latest rankings by U.S. News & World Report. This recognition highlights the quality of education provided by these institutions.

Wade Hampton High School leads the pack, securing the 10th spot overall in the state. Other high performers from the county include Greenville Senior High School Academy at 13th place, Riverside High School at 19th, Eastside High School at 20th, Mauldin High School at 21st, and J.L. Mann High Academy at 23rd.

The list shows the growing reputation of Greenville County schools, but not all local high schools made the top tier. Hillcrest High School came in at 93rd, followed closely by Berea High School at 96th and Travelers Rest High School at 125th. The rankings continue with Blue Ridge High School at 131st, Greer High School at 134th, Southside High School at 142nd, and Carolina Academy High School at 157th.

It is worth noting that Fountain Inn High School, which opened its doors just in 2021, did not participate in this year’s rankings. This situation highlights the competitive nature and ongoing assessment of the schools in the area.

These rankings reflect various factors such as academic performance and college readiness. For those interested in the full list of rankings, more information can be found online.
