Greenville’s The Commons Celebrates Five Years of Flavor and Fun!

Hey there, Greenville! Get ready to roll out the welcome mat as the Commons gears up for an exciting five-year anniversary celebration on November 16th! It’s been an amazing journey since its opening back in 2019, including this year’s expansion into its second phase. Tucked along the beautiful Swamp Rabbit Trail and the sparkling Reedy River at Unity Park, the Commons has truly become a beloved hub for food lovers and community members alike.

Mark Your Calendars!

The festivities will kick off at noon and continue until 6 p.m., so clear out your schedule and make some room for a day filled with delicious food, fun activities, and tons of giveaways. Be among the first 25 guests, and you might just snag a fabulous anniversary t-shirt to commemorate the event!

Dig In!

Food is the name of the game at The Commons, and this anniversary celebration promises to deliver! Get your taste buds ready to savor a sneak peek from the incoming eatery Paseo, which will be serving up its mouth-watering paella. Talk about a treat! But that’s not all—other vendors will also be showcasing special items just for this celebration.

As of now, the Commons is bustling with an array of popular eateries such as Automatic Taco, Golden Brown & Delicious, The Community Tap, Methodical Coffee, LaRue Fine Chocolates & Ice Cream, Indigo Kitchen, MooHogz Craft BBQ, and Kuka Juice. With such a vibrant mix of culinary delights, there’s something for everyone!

A Vision Come to Life

When Drew Parker, co-founder of The Commons, reflects on these five years, you can almost see the pride shining in his eyes. “Five years ago, we envisioned creating a vibrant community hub showcasing Greenville’s culinary talent,” said Parker. He went on to express gratitude, saying, “Today, The Commons stands as a testament to that vision and our community’s incredible support. We’re proud of what we’ve built together and are excited for the future.”

New Adventures Ahead

In an exciting turn of events, a majority stake in The Commons was recently purchased by Aston, the firm behind popular locations like North Hills Shopping Center and Verdae Village. This new ownership promises to bring fresh ideas and energy to the Commons, ensuring that our food haven continues to thrive well into the future.

Where to Join the Fun

So, do you want to dive into the fun? Head over to The Commons at 147 Wellborn St. in downtown Greenville. It’s going to be a day filled with community camaraderie, delicious bites, musical performances, and lots of activities for families. Grab your friends, bring the kids, and let’s make some memories!
