Governor Henry McMaster joined Greenville leaders on Wednesday to announce one of the largest economic development deals in the county. EnerSys will build a new facility in Greenville that will create 500 new jobs. The Greenville Area Development Corporation unveiled plans for a new 500,000 square foot facility with an investment of half a billion dollars by EnerSys. Jim Burns, the Chair of GACD Board of Directors, described the development as historic, stating that it elevates Greenville’s status as a business-friendly location.
