Greenville has just gotten a little tastier! After more than four months of renovations and anticipation, the Grazeland Deli and Charcuterie Emporium has officially opened its doors at 219 W. Antrim Dr.. If you’re curious about what Chef Chad Gangwer has whipped up, then you’re in for an exciting culinary adventure.
Grazeland is not just any deli. It’s the delicious evolution of Gangwer’s popular online charcuterie business, Chadcuterie. Born out of necessity during the pandemic, Chadcuterie took off because of Gangwer’s exceptional craftsmanship. All the spreads, dips, pickles, and more were made from scratch, packaged with a side of humor—think pizza boxes instead of traditional wooden boards.
Now, with Grazeland, he has created a full-fledged deli that embodies that same spirit. The name comes from a playful nod to Elvis Presley, adding a quirky touch to the environment. Elvis doesn’t just hang around; he’s a part of the menu! The atmosphere in Grazeland is bright, warm, and welcoming, perfect for a casual lunch or an afternoon charcuterie adventure.
Let’s talk food! The menu is a blend of classic and imaginative offerings. You have the opportunity to enjoy everything from freshly made sandwiches to salads and even build-your-own charcuterie boards. One standout is the Blue Ridge Bahn Mi, layered with smoked ham, spiced mayo, and a crunch of fresh veggies. It’s inventive and packed with flavor!
[In addition to that], the Southern Caviar and Chicken is a delightful combination of homemade chicken salad and Grazeland’s signature pimento cheese, bringing those Southern comfort vibes to your lunch hour. Folks seem to be going wild for the Italian sandwich, stacked high with mortadella, pepperoni, and more. Deliciousness overload!
If you’re in the mood for something lighter, check out the AZ 95 salad, which includes shaved chicken, artisanal greens, and a zesty Thai peanut drizzle. And don’t forget to try their acclaimed burrata salad—this one has arugula, tomatoes, and prosciutto that is sure to tempt even the pickiest of eaters.
Grazeland might be small, but Gangwer has designed it for maximum impact. With limited seating inside and a few outdoor tables, the deli has a cozy feel. They’re focusing a lot on to-go orders, making it convenient for those on the move. Gangwer is also working the counter alongside just one or two team members, which adds a personal touch to your visit. Sometimes you’ll even spot his wife, Jess, ready to take your order with a smile!
When visiting Grazeland, it’s impossible to miss the charming space that Gangwer renovated himself. Everything from the green-tiled backsplash to reclaimed wood shelving reflects his dedication to creating a peaceful, inviting atmosphere.
And let’s not forget the charcuterie side! There’s an assortment of flavored pimento cheese available daily—perfect for sampling spread on their artisanal crackers sourced from Asheville. A favorite among patrons is the Scoopy Snack, a delightful little takeout container filled with a taste of cheeses, meats, pickles, and dessert bites—all for just $8!
As Gangwer settles into this new venture, there are plans for an even more extensive menu in the future. Expect to see new sandwiches, salads, and soups making their way to your plate soon! For now, you can visit Grazeland Tuesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.. Prices range from $8 to $17—making it a fantastic spot for an affordable yet satisfying meal.
If you’re in the Greenville area, make a beeline for Grazeland Deli and Charcuterie Emporium. Dive into this fresh dining experience that combines humor, creativity, and above all, good food!
