Exciting Changes Coming to Greenville with Goodwill’s New Clearance Center Opening December 18

Exciting Changes Coming to Greenville: Goodwill’s New Clearance Center

Hey there, Greenville! Get ready for some fantastic news that’s bound to get you buzzing. Goodwill Industries of the Upstate/Midlands South Carolina is ramping up its thrift shopping game with a brand-new clearance center set to open its doors at 412 Sulphur Springs Road on December 18. This is not just any ordinary store; it promises to deliver an “enhanced thrift shopping experience” for all you savvy shoppers out there.

A Fresh Start in a Familiar Place

If you’re wondering why this location sounds familiar, it used to be a retail center until it closed down in November for some exciting renovations. The organization sees this move as a significant milestone. According to Pat Michaels, the president and CEO of Goodwill Industries of Upstate/Midlands, they are “thrilled to welcome customers” back to this fresh space. The aim is to do even better in serving our local community while sticking to Goodwill’s core mission: helping individuals improve their lives through the power of work.

What to Expect at the New Clearance Center

When shoppers step through the doors at 9 a.m., they can look forward to a clearance center that’s designed just for them. This new setup not only marks a change of pace but also an expansion of services aimed at supporting Goodwill’s community-focused goals. As usual, every dollar spent at this store goes a long way in funding education, job training, and employment services right here in Upstate and Midlands South Carolina.

Speaking of spending, the normal operating hours for the new center will be from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Sundays. So, plenty of time to wander around and discover some hidden gems!

Goodbye, Haywood Road

December 14. But don’t worry; that space is also getting a revamp! Goodwill is gearing up to transform Haywood Road into a “new and innovative destination for thrift shopping”, expected to open sometime in 2025. So, it’s a win-win situation for all thrift store lovers!

A Continued Commitment to the Community

Goodwill’s retail operations play a vital role in funding its mission of community support. Every single purchase directly supports programs aimed at helping individuals achieve financial stability and independence. So, when you shop, remember you’re contributing to something much bigger—workforce development initiatives that uplift our community.

Goodwill Industries of Upstate/Midlands South Carolina is locally owned and operated, making it a part of the cherished Goodwill Industries International Inc. network. Since its inception in 2016, the organization has successfully raised over $55 million in investor equity, showcasing how dedicated they are to improving lives around us.

Join the Excitement!

So, mark your calendars, grab your friends, and make a plan to check out the new clearance center on December 18. With a bevy of deals waiting for you, it’s the perfect opportunity to snag some amazing finds while supporting a great cause. Greenville, are you ready to thrift in style?

In the meantime, keep your eyes peeled for updates on the transformation of the Haywood Road location. It looks like the future of thrift shopping is bright in our great city!
