Furman University in Greenville, South Carolina, has revealed plans for $40 million in renovations to Timmons Arena. This transformation is part of a three-phase project aimed at elevating the arena to one of the best in mid-major basketball and beyond.

In a statement, Furman University expressed its vision for the project, stating, “The goal is to transform Timmons Arena into a first-class facility that will rival the best in the NCAA, ultimately helping the Paladins solidify their position as one of the top Division I teams in the country.”
The university believes that these upgrades will have a significant impact on recruiting and retaining top talent for its basketball programs.
Phase I of the renovation project, which focused on updating basketball offices, locker rooms, and film rooms, has already been completed. Upon finishing Phase II, Furman University will shift its efforts towards fundraising for a dedicated practice facility for both men’s and women’s basketball teams.
